This is not a dice game with a plot stapled on. Barnaby's Descent is written floor by floor, in sharp, funny, properly good prose. Every salon has a name, a mood and a rival with a voice of their own. The dealers scheme, the bosses hold grudges, and each hand you play turns another page.

Clear a floor and the next salón reveals itself, and the stakes climb with the story all the way down.

How to play

Roll. Keep. Bank. Repeat.

  1. Cast all six. Hold or sweep across the felt to roll the L · U · C · K · Y · ! dice.
  2. Set aside scorers. Tap the scoring dice to hold them.
  3. Roll again or bank. Push your luck with the dice you have left, or lock in the turn. The sharpest players chase a bigger prize: score with every die on the table and the whole set comes back to you for another roll, points intact.
  4. Don't bust. A throw with no scoring dice ends your turn and forfeits what you hadn't banked.

Score with all six? That's Hot Dice. You get a fresh set of six, you roll again, and every point you've built stays on the table.
