Lucky! · The Dice Game
Privacy Policy
Last updated 31 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Horizon Network Pty Ltd as trustee for The Scene Group Trust (ABN 17 755 719 604) (“Horizon Network”, “we”, “us”, “our”) handles personal information when you use the Lucky! mobile game (the “Game”). We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Where you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another region with its own privacy law, we also respect the rights that law gives you.
1. What the Game is
Lucky! is a casino-style dice game. It uses a virtual currency, Lucky Coins, which you can earn in the Game or buy through in-app purchase. Lucky Coins have no real-world value and cannot be redeemed, transferred or exchanged for money. The Game contains simulated gambling and is rated 17+. It is not directed at children.
2. Information we collect
We collect as little as we can. Your game data stays on your device and in your own iCloud account.
| Category | What | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|
| Profile and progress | Display name, chosen avatar (an animal, or a photo you pick from your library), Lucky Coin balance, Story Mode progress, match statistics, dice skins and settings. | On your device. Your coin balance, Story progress, collection and statistics also sync through your own iCloud account so they follow you across your devices; we cannot see your iCloud data. A photo you choose is downscaled and stored locally; we never upload it. During an online match it is sent, with your display name, to the other players at the table. |
| Game Center | If you sign in to Apple Game Center, we receive your Game Center player identifier and display name so we can match you with other players, show leaderboards and award achievements. Opponents see your display name and avatar; if Screen Time limits communication, they see only your Game Center name. If you allow access to your friends list, the Game uses it to recognise your friends, because voice and text chat are only available between friends. | Handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy. Match data passes between players through Game Center. |
| Voice chat | Voice chat is available only when everyone at the table is one of your Game Center friends, and the microphone is used only after you unmute it. Your voice is sent live to the friends at the table and is never recorded or stored by us. | Nowhere; it is streamed through Game Center during the match only. |
| Purchases | Coin packs, the Starter Pack, No Ads and the Salon Privé membership are sold through Apple’s in-app purchase system. We receive a receipt confirming what you bought; we never see your payment details. | Apple. Your purchases are tied to your Apple Account so they can be restored. |
| Advertising | Free play is supported by ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device’s advertising identifier, IP address, device type and ad interaction data. If you decline tracking (see Section 4) ads are non-personalised. | Google. See Google’s privacy policy and ad settings. |
| Analytics | Google Firebase Analytics records how the Game is used: events such as a match started or a Story floor cleared, an app-instance identifier, device model, iOS version, country and in-app purchase events. It is not linked to your name. You can turn it off in Settings → Analytics. | Google, for the retention period set in our Firebase account. |
| Crash reports | Google Firebase Crashlytics sends a report when the Game crashes: the stack trace, device model, iOS version and the state of the Game at the time. | Google. Used only to find and fix crashes. |
| Support | If you email us, we keep your email address and message so we can reply. | Our mailbox. |
We do not sell personal information.
3. How we use it
- To run the Game: save your progress, keep your coin balance, restore purchases.
- To provide online play: matchmaking, invitations, leaderboards and achievements through Game Center.
- To show ads that fund free play, and to reward you with coins for watching optional rewarded videos.
- To understand how the Game is played and to find and fix crashes (Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics).
- To answer your support requests and to investigate cheating, fraud or abuse.
- To meet our legal obligations.
4. Ads, tracking and consent
On first launch the Game asks for permission under Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework. If you choose Ask App Not to Track, the advertising identifier is not shared and ads are non-personalised. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, the Game shows a consent form (Google User Messaging Platform) before any ad is loaded. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time in Settings → Privacy Choices; the same choice controls whether Firebase may use your data for analytics and advertising. Buying No Ads or joining Salon Privé stops ads between games; optional rewarded videos remain available if you choose to watch them.
5. Permissions the Game may ask for
- Tracking – for personalised ads (optional).
- Photos – only if you choose a photo as your avatar. Apple’s picker shows us just the image you select.
- Microphone – only if you unmute voice chat in an online match with Game Center friends.
- Friends list – optional, so the Game can recognise your Game Center friends.
- Local Network – only when Game Center connects you to other players on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Notifications – optional reminders about your daily bonus, your streak and the next Story floor, and Game Center invitations.
6. Who we share with
We share information only with the service providers named above – Apple (Game Center, in-app purchase, iCloud, push notifications) and Google (AdMob advertising, consent management, Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics) – each of which processes data under its own privacy policy, and with authorities where the law requires it. Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to ensure they handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
7. Children
The Game is rated 17+ and is not intended for anyone under 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the Game, contact us and we will help remove any data we hold.
8. Retention and security
Game data stays on your device, and in your iCloud account where it syncs, until you delete it. Support emails are kept for as long as needed to resolve your request and for a reasonable period afterwards. We protect information we hold with access controls and encryption in transit, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Your rights
You may ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or complain about how we have handled it. Email lucky.support@horizonnet.work. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au). If you live in the EEA or the UK you also have the right to object to processing, to data portability and to complain to your local supervisory authority.
To delete all game data on your device, delete the Game. To delete Game Center data, use your Apple Account settings.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the current version, and material changes will be noted in the Game.
